different size rims

hi, i have 20 inches front and back rims, and i think these big rims caused my car negative camber. ALso, the car is pulling to the right.
The rims were there with the car when i bought it used so i'm not sure if the previous owner has done anything to the suspension area for the alignment. But to me, it seems like he didn't do anything to it.

Could 20inches rims cause the car to go off alignment and negative camber?
will it fix by itself if i change it to 18" rims?

I could buy 18" rims for the front and leave the rear rims as 20"... is this ok?

thx.

Having 20" rims isn't your problem. Rather than spending your hard earned $ on another set of rims have a competent independent brake/alignment shop in your neighborhood check your alignment/suspension. This doesn't include the dealership or Firestone, it's important to get the job done correctly the first time. What size tires did you inherit from the previous owner, 245/30s front or 275/30s rear....hopefully?

most likely something has been done to the suspension.

I would check shocks/struts.

very ofter they are the cause of poor alignment and bad tire wear

my brother took it to the dealership and they told him that G35 camber(?) is not adjustable(?) so to fix the alignment, i have to get an aftermarket camber kit.
i'm not sure but..i think the front size was 26-or 27-/30

This is why we shouldn't take our cars to the dealership, alignment to them is Greek. Like I posted, get your G into a brake/alignment shop where they speak suspension/alignment. Wish you lived in my area, guys drive for 50+ miles to have my shop do their alignment. 30 series tires, that shouldn't be a problem....

It depends how much neg camber you have. Your wheels would not cause camber issues themselves unless the car is lowered (make sure you don't have aftermarket springs). The G has a small amount of neg camber dialed in from the factory, which is desirable.

As long as your suspension is stock, any alignment shop should have no problem getting back to factory specs. If you're lowered, you'll need a camber kit to fix the camber issue.

the wheel is not the problem.

if your car is pulling to one side, either something is wrong with the suspension(bend arm, bad bushing..) or there is an alignment problem.

even if you have lots of negative camber, as long as both sides are equal, the car will not pull to one side.

i suggest you to bring the car to an alignment shop so the tech can check your suspension and alignment at the same time.

most alignment cost about $70-$100
