Fellow members...

Im in need of new rear tires on my 2007 G35 coupe which currently is rockin the stock 19" Bridgestone Potenza RE050A.

I came across some sick tires from Bridgestone called Potenza RE-11

I would like something wider, but keep my stock 19" wheels...

What are my options on the biggest size I can go on stock 19" wheels and keep a comfortable ride as the G is my daily driver.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

sick tires, links don't work though, you must copy-paste as "link" otherwise it gets shortened with "..."

These tires stick like glue, shouldn't they be AA traction and Y-rated? Most good summer tires even have Y-rated AA.

The AA traction rating is given to tires that perform well in the wet - it doesn't take into account dry traction.

Definitely very sticky tires though - I've autoxed on them before and was very impressed.

If you have a stock sized tire up front, you've got a decision to make - either you go with a 255/35/19 and risk some VDC issues (as this tire is a bit shorter in overall diameter), or you go with a 265/35/19 which should be fine for the VDC but is a bit wider than recommended for the stock wheels. FWIW, I run the 265/35/19 size and have no issues.

255/35R19
275/30R19
305/30R19

A smaller overall diameter in the rears gives VDC issues? I've ran 275/30/19 for years (for the same diameter as 245/45/18 stockers i need 275/35/19), but I never had any VDC issues from it. I just had slightly higher RPMs and a slightly inaccurate speedo lol.

As close to a street competition tire you can get. Awesome dry grip and response. Decent wet, ride isn't bad. Will be around a 12-15k mile tire.

I own both 050 and re-11's And unless you are going to track your car I would go with 050's. They will last a little longer with more comfort and I have autocrossed with my 050s and they do perfect.

I think Im gonna pull the trigger and go with 265/35/19 on the RE-11's

I tried looking for 255/40/19, but they dont come in this tire. Damn!

Do you guys think the 265/35 will be a problem on the rear with stock in front?

I really like this tire, but If I cant do it..oh well. I will have to find something else.

any recommendations on similiar style tread and wide look.
