I just put on some 235/45/18 General Exclaim UHP on my lowered 03 sedan and want to get the most out of the tires, they are directional tires, should I just take the one from the front and move to the back and move the back to the front or simply remove them from the wheel and swap sides....just not sure or how often to do this..

Thanks

traditionally, it's like an "X" when rotate tires, but with the tires being directional, you'll be fine with the front right to the rear right, etc. I've only rotated tires about half way through its tread life, i'm not sure how people do it nowadays or if they even rotate it a couple more times after that.

If same size all around front/back on same side will be fine. To maximize tread life you can have them removed from the wheels and remounted for the opposite side of the car. This will cost more, but $ spent on maintenance will save $ in the long term in tread life.

Thanks guys. Neal, how many miles should these tires last if I do the swap/rotation thing and not too much spirited driving. I'm hoping to get
3 summers from them, total 35,000 miles, am I dreaming.

whenever i had my car jacked up for an oil change, i ended up rotating the tires, so every 3000k miles... this may be overkill to some but i noticed very even wear on the tires and i did it because the car was already jacked up (this was on my previous car through not a g35)...

so i'd say do just rotate as often as you can because i've especially noticed that on the G, the rear wears out way quicker than the fronts

We recommend that tires be rotated every 3,000 to 5,000 miles even if they don't show signs of wear.
