350z eibachs on coupe. possible?

An owner here has a coupe on the eibach's engineered for the 350z, my question is exactly how reliable it is to be running springs on the coupe not made specially for it. Would it be more reliable to install the pro-kit made for the sedan or the springs made for the 350z on the coupe?By the way, anybody know when Eibach is supposed to release the kit for the coupe?!?! hurry up eibach!

Others have posted on this and their feeling was that the Z springs are the same as the coupes. Do a search and you should find the post(s).

Why not just use the G35S springs for your G35C?

Well it's important to not just toss any suspension part on a car. It's a good idea to know things in advance. Like what are the spring rates for the springs your thinking about installing. You have 3 different cars that use the same chassis set up, yet you can bet their stock spring rates are not the same. So it's stands to reason the spring makes won't make them the same either.

I did some research today with Eibach and this is what I found out. For each end of the car you have a spring stiffness with the weight of the car sitting on the spring. The other, higher number is when the suspension is fully compressed.

Eibach 350Z spring rates front 296/384 rear 316/421
Eibach G35 sedan front 259/334 rear 359/413
Tein springs for all 3 front 358 rear 274
(Tein says their spring provides a 2" front drop and a 1.3" rear drop)
H&R makes a 1.5" drop, but they will not reveal their spring rates.

Looking at the eibach spring rates for the sedan and knowing their developement car did NOT have the sport suspension, I find it hard to believe the prokits are stiffer in the front than a car with the sport suspension. . Notice how the Z's spring rates are much closer, front to rear, just how I'd want them.

So in essence, the 350z pro-kit is the most suitable for the G35? If so, then i'll go ahead and order some ASAP.

Ok well lets see i donno about he eibachs but i took my car to tanabe and we tried using the 350z springs on my car (g35coupe) but since the car is heaver it would rest lower then the z wold and with this my tanabe exaust wouldn't clear. so i donno how stiff the eibach spring are but just keep in mind that the under body of the g35 is really low...

did eibach mention they have a application for the coupe???

I'm don't think I'm going to put springs on it for a different car
Just my opinion. I'll wait.
