For my whole life I was an all-season tire guy but last winter decided that I would go for a set of winters/rims - and am quite happy with the Pirellli Winter Carvings that I got on sale at the time. I have really enjoyed the tires not just for snow, but even on dry roads as they are a firmer and more controlled ride (despite the softer rubber) than my crappy Goodyear Eagle RSA's .
With winter over, and my winters coming off any day now, I wanted to replace the RSA's now (even if they still some tread left I have under 30k on them). I can no longer tolerate the nauseating, cushy, bouncy, wobbly ride they provide me. Every speed bump makes me sick. And the Pirelli experiencece was a wake up call that I dont need to put up with a crappy ride.
What summer tires should I be looking at ?? (225-55R17 - mainly city driving) ? I am in the GTA.

After shopping around a bit, looks like I am landing on the Yokohama AVID ENVigor's for my "summer" performance touring tires. New design, specs are good, initial reviews are positive, price is great (local dealer has them on sale), and they are Made in USA.
Anyone have them on thier G35 ??

Been a very popular tire thus far. Have not tested them yet as they came out late winter. However, from what we have seen/heard in the field they are offereing very good wet/dry traction and good life.
Many thanks for the reply. I read quite a few postive reviews on tirerack.com
