Widest tires on stock wheels.

I just started autocrossing my 4 door sedan with good results, but Im using a super thing 215 mm tire. I want to go as wide as possible. I was thinking 235 might be logical but I am not quite sure as I have only owned the car for about two weeks. The wheel i have is the 6 spoke on the 2003 model, I NEVER use VDC unless its on ice, so I am not worried about the computer. Also, Any suggestions for light wheels that are still 17inch? Thanks!

My 03 Sedan has 5 spoke stock 17" with 235-45-17's all around car sits much better & eliminated some body roll as well..I also have it sitting on Tein S tech springs, it handles the corners great. I as well turn the VDC button off as soon as i start the car..

I have also had 245/40/17 on the rear with 225/45/17's on the front...

These are the specs for the wheels i have...

17" 5 spoke (03-04 Sport)
Front & Rear: 17"x7" (+45mm)

isn't the 6 spoke rim a 6.5" width? I got the sport pkg on mine so it came with the 5 spoke 17x7. You also have a lot of options for 17" light wheels. Volk, Gramlights, SSR, WEDS Sport, Rota, 5Zigen, Advan, etc. Not sure on your budget though.

I just got some bridgestone serenity 235/50/17 installed on my 06x with OEM 7 spokes and it is awesome... I see no fitment issues whatsoever... The 235/50 is supposed to keep the speedo/odom the same also

+1 on 235/50-17. Will fit fine and good selection in that size.

These guys got your tire specs covered.

As far as good cheap track wheels... Look into Enkei RPF1's. Light, quality build and inexpensive.
