I have Conti DWS

They were installed April 16th I had them pumped up to 38psi, 200 miles in I took some air out to 35psi. I just checked my tire ware 800 miles in, and the outer edges on both sides of the tire on all 4 is at 10/32nd the inside tread is at 11/32nd.

Also 730 of those miles is me commuting to and from school all highway, the first 500 miles were driven extremely easy when I did drive in the city. And I just been driving a bit more spiritedly but nothing crazy.

What gives?

Alignment and lack of rotation is what probably caused the uneven wear.

 

rotation in 800 miles? I never heard such a thing. Plus all of them show the exact same wear. So I am getting even ware.


If these tires are supposed to last 50k to 2/32nds that 9/32nd of tread and so thats 5.5k miles per 1/32nd. for me to eat through 1/32nd with mostly highway in 800 miles is extremely odd. that means my tire will only last 7k miles?! I did not buy a tire with a tread rating of 540 to get that little. I am still in my 60 day customer satisfaction trial so.. yea

PS: I bought them tirerack, I was about to PM you about this.

Continental wants me to get the tires inspected at a tire kingdom near here. I think ill go do that.

 

Update: I went to a shop today that specialize on lowered cars

here are my new alignment specs, I had an empty tank they said it was ok. As you can see the infiniti dealer did a horrible job and there machine was screwed up
