Snow Tires???

I'm a grad student in West Lafayette, IN... I'm driving a '04 330i Performance Package. The car came with Mich Pilot Sport Series Tires 225/40 ZR 18 (Front) and 255/35 ZR 18 (Back)... Rearwheel with 235hp to the road in West Lafayette Indiana is not gonna be fun in the snow.

Definitely need to buy some self cleaning snow tires of some sort. Anybody in a similar situation with some suggestions? I'd also like to by some 17" wheels to compliment them so that I won't have to go through the trouble of re-mounting tires. Thanks for the help.

Re: Snow Tires???

dang kid what are you doing at g35driver.com?

One of my friends JUST bought the same car, perf package and all... just he got that dark gray/silver color.

He's getting the dunlop M3's with these ASA 7 spoke 17" rims (i forget which ones exactly), check out tirerack, you'll see what i'm talking about. The ASA rims look a LOT like 17" versions of our coupe's 18" wheels.

Re: Snow Tires???

I almost got a G... I like the Coupes a LOT, more than the Sedans, but I wanted four doors... So, I turned to BMW... better looking sedan if you ask me... Nicer interior... Fun 6mt... It had everything I needed... Don't get me wrong I wish I had an extra half a liter... But I think the bimmer more than makes up for it in stock handling.

Oh, what am I doing here? I like cars... sue me. Plus my best friend is an administrator of this website.

Later,
D

Re: Snow Tires???

Went with the Blizzak LM-22's and 17" Borbet Type TS wheels... I kinda like the 9-10 spoke wheels. Thanks for the tips though... I appreciate it.

Re: Snow Tires???

No prob, that's what I'm here for.

Granted we've owned a couple Bimmers and thought they were total crap... but that doesn't stop me from being your friend.
