Hey dude, Yes springs get weak over time and will sag, but with normal use that's like many years down the road. I think our G's are safe for a while..........

Of course, technically, they don't shrink themselves.. the weight of the car fatigues them over time.

First off I want to ask what kind of springs are you talking about? Stock or AfterMarket?

If your talking about After Market springs.. i.e. Eibach's.. after installatoin they take up to a week or more to settle (drop lower.) usually not more than 0.3 inches..

i have the sport pkg and after 1400+ miles, i think they've gotten just a tad softer after break-in. could be my imagination though...

Re: DO SPRINGS SHRINK THEMSELVES??

that actually sounds like an attractive deal... was it considerably noticable? i meant that it was lowered? to people who you didn't tell you lowered the car, could those people tell?

Re: DO SPRINGS SHRINK THEMSELVES??

So the eibach PRO-kit will lower the car probably 1 more inch than the stock SPORT SPRINGS ? I thought the pro-kit and factory sport springs are the same cause all that I know is the sport springs will lower about 1 inch from the original springs.

Hmm.. I dont konw where you read about the stock springs lowering the car vs the sport stock springs... To the best of my knowlage they are the same height.. the sport is just stiffer..

Re: DO SPRINGS SHRINK THEMSELVES??

i actually find the stock normal springs to be pretty tight and stiff..... will the eibachs be even a rougher ride?

ic ant' stand rough rides, especially cause my car's got the rattles!
