My 03 DG on 18x9 et10 cobra r replicas with 245 40 on front and 295 35 on rear-

And with 18x10.5 et20 x4 with 245 40 and 285 30... right after mounting so sits a little lower. With the cap used for the chrome lip I am pretty sure they actually measure wider.
I am going to need a spacer in the rear to make it work in the rear. Front is past flush with a stretch and rear is flush but I have pulled fenders so I need a 1'' spacer. I didn't expect to stretch the 285's

I will post a side shot tomorrow-

It took me 5 tire shops just to get them to install the wheels. I recently moved and I forgot how hard it is to get stuff done without connections.

I am going to be running a 3-5mm spacer in front and I just ordered a 1in. Should fit perfect. As of now nothing hits and I tested it.

I think the key is to get a 18" wheel where the face extends all the way to the wheel diameter. This give the illusion of a larger wheel. Or rather the lip or the inward curving spokes give the illusion of a smaller wheel.

The new XXR 530 looks to be promising 18in offering for the G, with pretty good fitments:
18x8.75+20mm and 18x9.75+20mm

^ +1

Were it not for the taller sidewalls on the 18s, side-by-side when i had both my 19s (w/ lip) and 18s (w/o) off the car, it's hard to tell which is larger.

These are 18s.

it's got nothing to do with camber, my xxr 521 wheels fit real close to the spindle knuckle too. the only way to fix the "issue" is to get spacers.

Actually, the more camber you run the further the top of the wheel will slant inward. Since the suspension components are primarily static (they don't move) the wheel if cambered enough will actually become closer to the suspension. If you're running a high offset, that can be an issue.
