Will this fit?

By using the chart by THX723 (thank you ) I am a little nervous about the wheel/tire combo I want to put on my sedan. I have bought Goodyear GS-D3's. 245/45-18. I have found some wheels I like that are 18x8.5's. They have a +42 offset. The chart seems to say that 8.5's with a +45 will barely fit and with tires will most certainly rub the suspension. A 42 offset will give 3mm more clearance but with tires I think it will rub still. I have heard of using a 5mm spacer. This would give an offset of +37. Will this work and where can I get a spacer? If not it's back to searching for wheels.

Thank you
Mark

Re: Will this fit?

As an FYI on my setup... On my sedan, I'm using 18x8.5 rims w/ 245/40R18 tires. With the stock sports suspension everything worked just fine, no rubbing issues at all.

I just lowered the car 1.0" in the front and 0.75" in the rear. There are still no rubbing issues during daily driving conditions. Just giving you an idea of what worked for me.

Thanks. I'm feeling a little more confident. Do you know the offset of your wheels?

Re: Will this fit?

Ooops... Forgot to mention that in my above post. I'm using a 40mm offset, which to me is perfect.

Re: Will this fit?

Thank you. Sounds like they'll work. Especially with a spacer.
