Michelin Pilot A/S deals at Costco

Hey all, in an attempt to replace my OE Goodyear 17" coupe tires (at only 19K miles!) I started shopping like crazy. It turns out that the best I could do with nice performance tires of matching brands and maintaining the same staggered sizes (235 in R, 225 in F) I came up with:

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 225/50R17 $206
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 235/50R17 $212
Installation $40
Disposal $4
CA Tire Fee $4
CA Sales Tax $70
Coupon ($60)
--------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL $893.26

I was elated as here in Southern CA this was a speedy and well-priced deal. This takes advantage of a -$60 coupon for buying 4 Michelin tires.

Please let me know if you think I got ripped off! I was happy as this was at least $100 off any price out the door any tire shop in the area could give me. They would not pricematch either...

note- costco said they would not install 235's in the front and rear because it was not the standard size for the G35...oh well- I didn't try that hard to convince him.

Expensive is right...I don't care too much for performance, but I guess I will get some with these. There may be some better tires out there, but I think this is the best solution for me- I need to drive to a special girl's place this weekend. I can't take chances with a bum rear tire...

Thanks Tinman!

Good price, best I could do on Tire rack was $838.22 for the tires and shipping. But after you add in installation fees, it would probably be a few $$$ more.

I'm not sure of the prices on 17", but I got my 20" for $1100 total. 245/35 20 in front and 275/35 20 in back. $600 for rear, $500 for front.

Our cars can be fitted with the 235/45/17 without significant speedo error. Given that, I think the 45 series are cheaper than the 50 series because there is a higher demand for the 45 series. Check it out.
