07 G35x new tires

I was talked into some Toyo Versado's by Town Fair Tire and I absolutely hate them. They ride great all the way up to 70mph and then it feels almost like the tire has a thumping deadspot. Its not the balance becuase I brought it back immediately and made them re-balance on the Hunter road force, but after a quick google search it seems like these tires are known for this Anyways, I'm not leaning towards some V-rated Michelin Primacy MXV4's, pricey yes i know, but I am also considering the Continental Extreme Contact DWS. MY question is, can i Safely, comfortably go to a 225/50/17 setup from 225/55/17 stock setup? and please dont tell me to use the search button I already tried that and searched google.

Please let me know asap as I am bringing these tires back. On another note, if your speed never exceeds 70mph on the highway, these tires are great. Immediate difference over my dry-rotting Goodyear RSA's in noise, comfort- slight decrease in performance but what can you do.

Im leaning towards the Primacy's over the Michelin Pilot Sports due to some of the horror stories with the Pilots with noise? Can anyone talk me back into them??
