another Lug Nut w/ stock Rays question from Tikiman12

Hello,

My question is will MUTEKI SR35 closed ended lugs be visible on the stock 19 rays? or should I go for the MUTEKI SR48 open ended lugs?

I like the look of closed ended but I want the lugs to stick far enough out for the color to be seen.

Thank you for your help

Yes, they will be visible because they exist. Ok, jokes aside.

Stephen, define what you mean by "visible."

Well my idea is to at a bit of color to the cars. I keep seeing aftermarket wheels with a bright color lug nut and it POPS so nicely. I want purple lugs to POP when your looking at the car. So would it be better to have a closed ended shorter lug or a longer open ended lug? The closed lug will have more surface area to see, or would a longer lug sticking out be more visible?

They absolutely are not anodized aluminum...

My purple SR48's chipped after the first time i put them on. All by hand and torqued properly...

I gave in and bought a set of ProjectKics NeoChro's since they are actually coated, they will not chip.

Rays OEM wheels have tapered bottoms which work with aftermarket lugs. Other OEM wheels have rounded bottoms which necessitate using only OEM lugs.

$225, but same difference!! Haha, i figure i'll never have to buy lugs again with these

You can use aftermarket lug nuts on OEM wheels as long as you dont have "mag" style lugs

IE: Toyota lugs with the flat washer attached. G37's also have mag lugs

Sorry, I'm not familiar with those wheels. The only reason I even knew about the Rays was because I had to mount them on my car once in an emergency and only had my Project Kics neo-chro with me, and did some research on whether or not it was safe.
