Honestly... I don't think there that bad. Granted I liked the original look as well, but as someone who hates black/dark wheels... I actually don't think yours turned out to bad. One thing is certain though... stay away from Gold or Bronze like Gary said. Body paint matched with black lugs would be interesting as well.

I'm leaning towards gunmetal/ DG color right now too
bronze looks dirty on dg
gold doesn't match well for some reason
black is cheap/ played out
blue/green/red is a bit much for a DD for my taste
would only consider a very glossy clean white maybe?

A white wheel with DG doesn't look that bad honestly. Here is an example. White SF challenges on DG with blue lugs... probably Rays lugs.

Username is chris d.

As a fellow DG owner tho, I think silver wheels look the best on DG. But then, I've always been a huge fan of a matted silver wheel with a polished or anodized lip. Makes your wheels really pop, especially if you throw on some colored lugs to match your BBK or something.

I am definitely not a fan of gun-metal, gloss black, matte black, or satin black (and whatever other kind of fkn blacks that exist out there) wheels on a DG.

Light gun metal with polished lip would be ace on a silver G.
