18" vs 19"?

I'm looking at getting a set of Volk LE37T's in Mercury Silver (Black 6mt) but don't know if I should get 18" or 19". Is there really any advantage to getting 19" wheels? Any help would be appreciated...

In my opinion, since you are looking at the same wheel either in 18" or 19", then it is really an aesthetic choice. The 19" will be a little bit heavier, require more expensive tires, and will hinder acceleration just a little bit more versus the 18".

19" for sure is better looking; performancewise, 0.1 second difference, maybe less??? even with 1 second difference, you won't feel at all, why care!

As long as you don't get 20" (for show cars usually) for your daily drive, either 18" or 19" will be fine, of course depending on your budget.

Good luck.

Thank you.

Re: 18" vs 19"?

I have the budget for the 19"s if I want. (X-mas present from the gf) I guess that I was mainly concerned about the stiffness of the ride (really don't want it any stiffer than stock) and also wanting to maintain the stock height on the car. With the 19" wheels I was worried that I'd have to start messing around with the suspension as well. Any thoughts?

Re: 18" vs 19"?

I use to have le37 in 18inch. There is a difference on accelaration. My 19in are sugglish off the line. But if I had to do it over, I would have gotten the 19in in the first place. As far as stiffness I really couldn't tell the diiference.
But if I would of gotten the 350z I would go with 18in.

just keep in mind that tires for 19's can be hella expensive, almost twice as much in some cases (for instance $130 vs $240 in one particular case I saw)
