BEWARE CHIKARA LS1 Rims...
*WARNING* BE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE LOOKING INTO PURCHASING CHIKARA LS1 RIMS! I lost control of my car because the rims are defective and one of them broke on me! Just thought I'd share my story so some of you guys might not end up in my situation.
I was driving in a tunnel and suddenly my car started swerving. I was afraid that one of my tires blew out, but after I finally came to a stop I found that my rim broke on me and separated from my tire. Thank God for the Anti-Slip function on our cars... it helped me control the car with minimal damage & I suprisingly didn't crash into any walls. I tried contacting the company 88Rotors and they haven't taken responsibility. They told me that they haven't seen anything like this happen. I had to replace my rear camber arms and also my rear struts.
Rim separated form tire and was still attached to wheel studs:

This is how my tire ended up:

*Currenly rolling on some 17" Evo Enkeis LOL... got them for a good deal and in good shape. Hopefully I'll be able to get better rims soon! These don't look so bad on the car...

I'm just glad that I'm safe and that there wasn't too much damage to my car!
Sorry couldn't get the images to load so I just added the links

I am really glad you are safe. I have to be honest though, are you really surprised? You put rims on your car that actually cost less than your tires. That is like putting on a 100 dollar ebay spoiler then being surprised when it comes flying off.
Glad to hear you're okay and not hurt. But dang, that rim is deff messed up. Did you have any preliminary problems?
And yeah, I'd stay away. Would hate to see the same situation happen to a fellow member.

Sorry you had to go through this but I'm glad everything turned out relatively okay. Could've been a disaster especially in the tunnel.
At this point I would only ever buy wheels from established Japanese brands like Volk, Work, Advan, etc. I wouldn't touch anything from upstart wheel companies especially fly-by-night Cali and Florida companies run by teenagers operating out of their parents garage. Sad but true.

As everyone has already stated, the most important thing is that you are okay. Not only that, but thank goodness that this didn't harm anyone else either.
Wheels and cars can be replaced. Lives cannot be. That is the most important part.
