i have a 2003 g35 sedan i'm looking for reasonable priced snow tires. i have 17" tires on them now. can i put 16" wheels and tires on? oh yea can someone explain what vdc does. thanks for your input this site has ben very helpfull for me thanks to all and happy holidays.

 

I've found and a lot of the people on here believe that tirerack.com is the place to get tires. Put in the car info in tirerack and you'll get recommendations. it says you can go with either 16 or 17inch rims. 16 would be cheaper but you would have to buy rims as well.

I looked and you can get 4 bridgestone blizzak ws70 studless ice and snow tires with alloy rims come up to $708 all mounted up before shipping!

vdc is vehicle dynamic control - it senses when your tires are slipping and tries to get the car back in line or get traction back. It's a safety feature. tirerack usually recommended tires/sizes that will not effect your vdc in your car if it's similar sizes to stock tire sizes. if you change the tires sizes then there's a possibility that it might not work as intended.
