New Tires

I burnt through my Eagle RSA on the rear and only got about 13k out of them. I expected this so this is not a surprise. I am now running Kumho ECSTA LX Platinum. Has anyone used these tires on a G35 Coupe and liked them? Also is there a break in period for tires? I feel like the car is not as responsive as before. I have only put 70 or so miles on them.

Thanks

^^^my original goodyears only lasted about 15,000 miles too. There is a break in with new tires as the mold release agents have to wear off and it usually takes a little over a hundred miles.

The fresh full tread depth tire will squirm a bit compared to your older worn tire tires. It's like wearing down a pencil eraser. At first it moves around a bit, pretty sloppy, etc. Once you wear it away the eraser becomes more accurate, moves around less, and is more precise. Give them a little while and they will tighten up.

I tend to be more of a spirited driver so I contacted my friend who manages the tire store and he contacted Kuhmo and they will take a return on the Ecsta LX Platinum and swap out for the Ecsta ASX. I had those on my 2 of my Mustangs and was very happy with them.
