Rim suggestions

I have a silver G35 coupe, which used to have 20 inch TSW Nogaro's on them. Sadly, Massachusetts roads weren't too forgiving, and they got messed up over time and eventually sold. Would downsizing the rim to a 19 inch keep it a little higher from the ground and prevent said destruction?

and also, would black rims look bad with a silver car? I'm trying to get ideas for the upcoming summer

if the roads destroyed your 20's then they will destroy your 19's and you will pay more for tires.

Running 35s rather than 30s will give you al little more protection and if you run 245sF & 285sR that will give you even more depending on the brand tire you choose. Black rims on your silver G will look good if you have some big azz polished lips....

Like Gary said upping the profile of the tire will help the protection (Im running 255/35F and 285/35R). Investing in a nice set of forged wheels, high quality, depending on your budget (Volk, Work, etc.) would result in less chance for damage. Black wheels will look good on you BS coupe especially with blacking out the grill/headlights/tails.

Like garyc said with 19" you can run 35 series all around for a little more padded.. but also with the 19" you can run runflats for that extra thick sidewall for more protection.
