need urgent help with selling my wheels to an "X" owner

someone is interested in my wheels which are staggered. the tire sizes are 225/35/20 and 255/35/20. which is 3.04% difference. i have read that you shouldnt go more than a 3% difference. do you guys think that .04 will mess anything up?

IMO, that is a too large of a difference. 225/35 and 265/30 would be a better match.

There's guys on here that didn't know about the stagger and are running closer to a 5% difference.

IMO, just tell him to burn off the tires and then suggest he goes with the 225/265 stagger or whatever he wants that's in the 3% margin.

well just as an update. we put the wheels on his car and then went for a test drive pushing the car pretty hard and nothing happened as far as slip lights or awd lights.
