19" wheel snow options on a 2005 G5 w/ Sports Package
19" wheel snow options on a 2005 G5 w/ Sports Package
I just picked up my G35 last Tuesday, and snow is just around the corner, so I'm getting worried about the tires. I read on this forum that a lot of you replace the stock tires with snow tires for the winter.
My car came with the 19" rims, so getting snow tires is going to be expensive. I'm looking for some input on the following:
-Should I just replace the 2 rear tires or all 4?
-Should I be worried about salt on the street eating away at my alloy rims?
-Can I just buy some regular 17" rims and tires to replace the 19's?
-If I do replace all 4 tires, are all 4 the same, or are the front and back tires different?
-The Infiniti salsman told me that if I buy the tires from Infiniti they will store my old ones until the Spring. Is this true for all Infiniti dealerships?
What would you do in my position?
Thanks for your help... I'm proud to be a new member to your club, I love this car!!

You can't buy a snow tire for a 19' rim. My advice would be to purchase a set of dedicated snow rims & tires.
