Minimum wheel disk on Brembos

Hey guys..

I was wondering if anyone knows what the absolute minimum wheel disk size is for a G coupe with the brembo brakes. I read somewhere that an R-disk is the proper disk to get if your buying aftermarket wheels, but i already have wheels that aren't an R-disk. So I was wondering if any one know the distance between the mounting face of the brakes to the outside of the caliper.

If worst comes to worst i can probably just pull off a wheel and measure the gap with a caliper or something, but i just wanted to see if anyone knew off hand.

Basicly I dont want to have to run a huge spacer since my wheels are already pretty low offset, and will poke if i run a big spacer like the pic below

15mm of clearance for A-Disc face with brembo brakes.
25mm of clearance for O-Disc face with brembo brakes.

I know this for a fact. Ran A-Disc with my WORK T1S w/15mm spacer to clear. A friend of mine ran O-Disc with his VS-XX w/25mm spacer to clear.

Awesome.. thanks!

I'm pretty sure the wheels are O-disk then, since i tried using a 14mm spacer (2 7mm slip ons) and it didn't quite clear. But with the 25mm spacer in the pic above it cleared fine.

I was hoping that I might be able to get away with a 20mm spacer, but it looks like I may not be able to haha

Well some WORK wheel styles are more "BBK friendly" than others. It all depends on the face design and how "flat" the face actually is.

For instance, my T1S had more clearance in the front than my buddy with his VS-XX. I had about 3mm of clearance while he sat around 1mm or so.

WORK has another disc called a T-Disc that is also supposed to be BBK friendly, but I'm not too sure where it sits compared to the other three disc faces of R, A, and O.

Yeah i think the T-disk is even bigger than the R if i remember correctly.

But actually my wheels aren't even works, they're DPE's and I honestly have no clue if their disk sizes are the same or similar to Works.

Also I bought these used, so i don't have all the info on their specs, other than offsets and Widths. I guess I'll probably just have to end up measuring it myself and/or just playing around with different sized spacers to see what works.
