Tire Pressure Sensor Reset...

My tire pressure sensor turned on. All my tires measure above 35 pounds. So its either a defective sensor or perhaps the sensor needs to be reset. Any advice or similar experiences in this area? If the sensor does need to be reset can this only be done at the dealer? If its a defective sensor what do those cost. And if the sensor has to be replaced does the sensor light just go off once you ride it for a few miles or does the light need to be reset separately?

Thanks....

The light should go off after you drive for a bit.

What year is your car, TPMS sensors generally go bad (batteries die out ) after 5-7 years.
Did you rotate the tires?

My brother works at a shop and ran a test using some type of sensor test unit from Snap On. The front left Sensor is out. Looks like I'll need a new one.

The TPMS sensor reader/programmer is what he must have used. If one has gone bad - watch other sensors will follow, so replace all 4.

You won't need to replace the sensors yet- the batteries last about 7 years. May be in few years

Been doing that for the last four years, I don't think they are going out yet.

None of those fit mine.

Start car, comes on for a sec goes off.

Drive 45 minutes at highways speeds, comes on stays on.

Turn car off, stays off till you repeat.

If you just put around it doesn't come on.
