That's the new MSRP from RAYS USA. Of course there are discounts. We are just comparing MSRP, since the OP posted MSRP on the replica GTs wheels.

MSRP is not a real price, it's a laugh at me price when you get into boutique items. You of all people should know that.

When dealing with reps and low end one piece wheels, the mark up is far less and companies are going to squeeze every ounce of the margin out of it.

Quote me a set of GTS at the street price or MAP price, Because I know for a fact these vertini wheels are still going to turn out to be just under 2k for a set. And $1000 difference isn't enough to warrant cheap, chinese, cast, single piece, 29lb wheels.

Nomsayin? If they want to tap this market of ripping off volk they better get in line behind varrstoen and sell their nameless brand at sub $1000 shipped.

I'm just making comparison based on MSRP, Since that's the number officially published by both company. What they are selling at or market price are not possible to make comparison.

And with the USD keep losing value against YEN, and the continue increae in material cost, we will see GTS sell for $3000+ soon,

I am a realist, I call em as I see em.

I will personally get a quote on these Vertinis to see what the dealers will be selling them at. Because unlike Volk, their MSRP isn't $400 less than what they sell for.

MSRP are there for a reason, it's a guide line for supplier, distributor and retail shop to use as a quoting guide. It's used by the manufacturer to determine cost, market placement, discount structure and competition comparison.

Again, I am just making comparison based on OP first post which is the MSRP of the replica versus MSRP for the original GTS.

I understand man and I'm really not arguing it with you.

What I am saying is MSRP for a company like Volk could be $1800 a wheel, but they're still going to be $750 a wheel street as volk can put the MSRP at anything as it's what they suggest. I could suggest my car to sell for $50k but I know I won't get more than $15k for it.

MSRP from a low end company is going to be at much less of a margin over cost, so they can make the wheels seem that much more inexpensive than Volk. I know you know that.

Because really, when was the last time you sold a set of Volks at 100% MSRP? These guys could still sell these wheels at $500 a piece. Hell they could probably catch a handful of suckers and sell them at $750 a wheel without anyone ever knowing that the legit counterpart was the same price.

Why not just get a quote from them and wait to discuss it until then, we really aren't going to get anywhere until we see what they really are pricing them at.

Already waiting lol

BUT what I am really saying, even if these wheels are $1500 for the set (add $800 for tires and M&B so $2300) you can pick up minty GTS or SF Challenge for $2500 with tires all day. Don't come with the ugly logo on the spoke, legit modular wheels, forged and top quality ****.

And anyone that is stuck on new wheels and wouldn't take the real deal for another $200 is an idiot.

I see watcha saying...i would save up a little more cash and get the real deal..u get what u pay for..but i definitely wouldn't pay ~$4k for volks unless we're talking about discontinued, SUPER rare sets that u couldn't find anymore. I know, i've paid $4k for a set of Volk TE37's in RMC finish b4 in 19's...I just wanted to show how closely these were to the Volks...i'm also waiting to see wat that company quotes u on the reps..

Yea, I'm by no means saying always buy volks (I'd personally never buy them) But for the money that these are, there are much better options out there for either the same amount or slightly more money.

Even if they work out to be $1200 wheels, you're into maybe $800 in tires (Canadian so maybe no whatevs lol)

For $2200 there is 5 or 6 sets of Volks in the marketplace on this forum alone, why not spend $200 and buy some legit, nice wheels?
