Continental Extreme Contact All Season

Just wanted to throw this out there, just picked up a set of fronts 225 50zr17 to replace the old stock Goodyear GS-A tires that were on there. The Goodyears did last a surprisingly long 57,000 miles although the inside of the tires were worn bad the outside seemed almost like new. So the Continentals ExtremeContact All Season are much quieter and softer then the Goodyears. Seems very smooth even all the way to 80+ mph speeds. Can't comment on the wear yet as I've only put about 300 miles on them. However the traction is amazing in cold rain here in Indiana and I have a feeling that they will do great in snow. I will definitely replace the Goodyear F1s I bought last year with these next fall when it comes time. The F1s just don't seem to have the tread wear that the GS-A had. So overall very excited about these tires and worth every penny IMO. Plus they were a good price at $160 a peice installed.

I do have a question. Is there anyway to prevent the wear on the inside of these tires before it gets like it did on the other set? I've had alignments done every 8-10 months generally after I would hit a pot hole or something but that didn't seem to do any good.

Thanks for reading!

Great tire to have, I'm sure you'll be happy.

Keep an eye on air pressure and continue your alignment regiments.

This was for the DWS and I had a buddy here in Indy that is the manager of a large dealership service area and he took care of me. Good luck in your hunt, love these tires.

Ah, nice score man.

I thought I hit the (craigslist) jackpot last week. Long story short, listing for factory 18's with new DWS on them. Overall pretty good condition on the rims. Listing had 3 pictures, all showing DWS.

So I drove the hour+ to get to the guy's house, in the shitty snow/ice weather that Seattle got hit with.

He starts taking the bags off, and it's 2 DWS and 2 Goodyears

Guy says, "oh, didn't I mention that it was 2 + 2?" No. Not in any of the half dozen emails back and forth, and not in his posting. Needless to say, I didn't want it and left empty handed.

And looks like he reposted his ad this morning....no change in it either:
