Tire Knowledge!

In January's issue of Import Tuner is an article on tires with information that everyone needs to know. You think you have all the answers when buying new tires for your Infiniti, read this article you'll soon discover you don't. If you don't already subscribe to Import Tuner go to your news stand and pick up January's issue...worth the cost for the knowledge it contains!

It's sitting in my reading room as I post this. There's also an article on the best track cars which shouldn't be missed. Wouldn't I love to be able to buy a Hennessey Venom GT with 1,200 rwhp? Sorry, it is January's edition...

Neal, members need to have enough knowledge to ask the right questions! TireRack will sell you tires without giving you the needed information. When I bought a set of Bridgestones for my last Z and the UTQG was only 180. TireRack didn't mention they would last less than 10K miles due to the soft compound. Great tires yes, but who can afford to buy a set of tires every 8 to 10 months? Lesson learned, it's not smart to buy tires with a UTQG rating of less than 230 or more than 300. Knowledge is power!
