locking lugs question

i recently purchased some SSR gt1 19" staggered

and well.....

i have some "gorilla spline" drive lug nuts on em and they look cheap and i KNOW u can buy the lock thing at like any store..

what do you guys use as locks on ur nice wheels

i know rays makes the duriluminum locking lug set... but im not worried about weight just security and i feel rays made them w/ weight in mid and not security.. so what do people w/ HRE use.. i saw HRE lists lugs on their site but they just say lugs and not locks

thank you
riley

I use McGards myself:

McGard wheel locks

Not sure if those will fit your rims, but these slim version probably will:

thats what i saw.... but what i liked better from mcgard are...

the spline/lock packages.

4 spline drives per wheel and then one above lock...

which seems nicer knowing my "backup" lugs are hard to get off too.. deterent in itself.. but then again i like something tiny and unnoticable so im thinking black rays for now....(tooo bad rays doesnt make a variation of silver)

I got the spline drive kit as well. I happen to have gotten my kit from summit racing . I got mine in Black Chrome. I wish I would have been able to get them in red powder coated or something. But the locks only come in Chrome, Black Chrome, or Gold. Only the spline drive lugs come with colored tops, but I thought that would've looked cheap, so I got the Black Chrome. I was going to get the red ray's duraluminum ones, but I was afraid they wouldn't fit my rims, as my rims have really narrow lug openings. The spline drive socket is almost the exact same size as my lug openings, and the lugs nuts sit in fairly deep, so I'm pretty confident, those lock removers will not work. If not oh well... Slow em' down some I hope... Especially since I have more than one lock per wheel.

yeah.... i can get the mcgard spline drive which basically is same as any other spline except for that the gorilla have rounded splines and mcgard r squared...

i just think....for a mcgard key its....25$ for a set and u get key.. how many people are gonna drop 130$ on a rays key to maybe steal some wheels..
