Tire Wear Question

Hey guys, where would you measure your tire tread from? The small groves heading towards the end of the tires? Or the three long and deep lines in the center? I have these tires, http://www.tirerack.com/tires/BigPic...=445WR8RE760XL
<br> One more quick question, when I got my alignment, my toe was "0.38". Driving 100 miles, I lost 30% of my tread. Is this possible?

No, your tire would need to be flat and locked, dragging for a hundred miles to lose 30%.

Post a pic of the tire.

You measure from the long deep lines in the center.

Go with the center tread lines.

Ya I know how to measure it. But didn't know where. Does a -10 SAI have any effect on tire wear? Spec is +4 - +6. Thanks
