Be different and just get 22's. It'll calm all the haters down.

I think it does, but the main reason I like 20s over 19s is that the car sits higher which results in less scraping, if you lower your car, specially helps with lower bumpers like the kuruma z.

Depends what your personal goals are.

20's tend to be more for style and appearance, 19's are more balanced towards performance and style, 18's are more towards performance depending on what alloys and tires used.

My car is lowered .9 front and 1.2 rear. With the 19's sitting on nitto invo's i have now i love the center of gravity balance as well as the car's cornering capability. Since 20's will make the car sit higher I may lose some of that.. I'd choose performance over the look. 18's would be too much of an eye sore IMO.

Thanks for the useful info Erik!

Not much of a difference besides looks and weight.

Yup....this.
I ran 18's,19's and 20's. I liked the 20's because the rim filled up the wheel well more. I had the fender sitting a little above the rim lip and the car still had a decent amount of clearance. The downfall was the weight of the rims, 20's weigh a little more than 19's, but on the flip side, tires are a bit cheaper for 20's than 19's.
All in all it comes down to personal preference.

If you follow proper tire up-sizing, the car will sit no higher or lower than with your OEM set-up.

I had 20s and they were way too heavy, braking distance was worst and and ride quality was horrible. I felt every bump in the rode with low profile tires. Best decision I ever made was to get coupe 19s. They look great and are light so performance will not be effected as much.
