Rubbing Fronts with 255/35/19 on Volk GTS??

Hey fellas,

I just put my Volk GT-S on my G35 Coupe.

I have 255/35/19 fronts and 275/35/19 on the rears. I rolled the rear fender so it doesnt rub but when I make turns on uneven pavements I can hear the front rubbing.

Now, I know the front comes pre rolled from the factory but it doesnt seem to be fully rolled flat if I remember correctly. Can I roll the front some more or could the fronts be rubbing something else like the fender liner or suspension? Should I change the tires out to 245/35/19's? Would that solve my problem?

I am lowered on KW V1 Coilovers. Both the fronts and backs are slightly tucking the tires. Originally when I lowered the fronts I had it with about a 2 finger gap and it did not rub.

Thanks in advance!

I didn't rub on 255's with my GTS'. Are you running spacers? Camber settings?

Hey pepper thanks for the reply.

I have an SPC camber kit that came with the car that I didn't touch..should I adjust the camber a bit? I also do not have any spacers. The GTS wheels are the standard +18/+17

You're rubbing on the fender liner hardware. Remove the 2-3 screws in the top of the fender and pull the clips out.

hmm im getting a few different answers now..can anyone clarify if I can use 255's in the front? I could adjust the camber but if its rubbing inside of the fender than the camber wouldnt matter correct?

I've run 255 up front on lower offsets.... Trust me. Remove the hardware.

I just responded to a post titled "tire size question" with a similiar situation. To me I thought the 255/35 was a better choice, but maybe this is the reason most go with the 245/35's. Good to know since I have to buy tires in the next few days.

+1, remove the screws first, wouldn't hurt to try and not to mention...it's free. Then give the metal tabs a little bend inward. It solved my slight rubbing issues.

If it still rubs then go make camber adjustments and pay to get an alignment.
