wheel spacer problem

Hey guys, i bought hubcentric wheel spacers off ebay about 3weeks ago (15mm/20mm) and when I installed them they were riding fine with no issue for the first two weeks. Then, while i was driving one day the passenger side front wheel felt like it was wobbling. It wobbles everytime i hit a bump in the road and it would continue to wobble after that..drove back home to check them out and the lug nuts were tight and i re-torqued the wheel spacer. Took it for a ride and it was fine for about 2days and now im having the same problem again. Im wondering if it could be a alignment issue because my car is lowered on eibach springs(1" drop) or should i buy a new set of brand name quality spacers? Help.!?

You pay for what you get... Im thinking its those spacers. Sounds like the replacement lugs are coming lose. You could try locktite, if you know for sure you are not gonna take those spacers off.

I'm planning on getting an alignment today to see if it resolves the problem, but if it doesn't, then i guess ill buy some h&r spacers. I just want my oem wheels to look flush until i save enough money for wheels/tires. If anyone has had this problem before plz help.

are you using OEM wheels? if not, did you cut the original studs to make clearance for the spacers with the wheels?

How many times have we recommended not buying eBay trash here on DRIVER? I've only bought one item on eBay that was worth the $$, my '06 OE projectors "New in Box!" Damn scary driving down the street with your wheels wobbling! Take em off and consider this a lesson learned....Gary

Did you get new lug nuts with the spacers. When you install spacers there are special lug nuts you have to use or you will have the problem that your having. I forgot the name of the lug nuts but what they do is thread in between the spacer so you get enough locking thread on the studs so the wheel will not come off you should be able to turn the lug nuts at least four complete revolutions when you tighten them on if not the lugs can back off and you could loose a wheel.

ya they came with their own lug nuts but idk if they're the "special" kind. Do you think a wheel alignment would do the trick?

No alignment would not cause your wheel lug nuts to come loose make sure that your lugs nuts are making at least four complete revolutions when you tighten them up if not you need some different lug nuts you can go to a rim shop they should be able to help you out, or point you in the right direction.

It's always recommended to buy spacers that are well known in terms of quality, fit, and finish. There are even vendors here on Driver that sell quality spacers. I would remove them and see if your problem still persists before jumping to conclusions though.

Did you even look at the front spacers yet? It sounds like the lugs just came loose.
