Michelin Defender Tires - Any reviews?

I want to buy these tires for my 2004 G35 Sedan. Any feedback or comments?

They're ok for around town going from a to b but they are a economy tire. The primacy would be better if you want ride quality, and the pilots would be better for performance.

I'm not after performance tires this time around as they wear very quickly. My driving style is not as aggressive and I'm looking for a tire that will last a long time... I've read many reviews on these tires on other cars in different sizes but I'm looking to see if anyone is using them on their G Sedan.

If you're looking for a tire that will last you for a really long time, those will definitely do the trick! I think most people on Driver though go for tires with a bit higher performance, at least when comparing to those.

Longer life, better ride, quiet, and good a/s traction is their strong suit. They have been out about 6 mo now and doing really well. Better tire than the Hydroedge it replaced.

Consider the Primacy MXV4 (V rating)

Michelin tires are great but your life may depend on what's between you and the road!

As long as you get the correct speed rating you are fine. Which they do make the 215/55R17 in a V rating which is what you need to run.

I wanted to give an update on this thread. I got the Michelin Defender tires and they run great. So far I have seen 10-15% increase in gas mileage. I will report more updates as time goes. Thanks!

They are great tires, but on a G I'd go with the primacy mxv4. But as long as your happy is all that matters, michellin makes great tires which is why I have them on my G!
