xxr 521 opinion

hi, i bought a set of xxr 521 and havent put them on yet but starting to reconsider it. imo its not agressive enough , was considering something with lower offset. My coupe is brilliant silver so i bought the glossy black with chrome lip i think it would look nice but the flat surface and high offset makes me a bit iffy, maybe something concave would be better. the 526s are appealing too

what is your opinions on these wheels. not asking quality or anything but straight up looks. i want something agressive and clean but still affordable? what do you say

I would say look away from XXR.

But for now, slap those on and roll with it. Save up cash for some nice aggressive Japanese built wheels!

Roll your fenders go 25 or 20 mm spacers and do an aggressive drop , wheels look good and hold up hard they are just not name brand , took me a year and half before I got my Volks , look at the peoples pics who have those wheels with spacers , they look good . This forum frowns upon non name brands but not everyone has a 3-4k budget to buy expensive wheels and tires . Take you time and enjoy and get spacers and do other mods and when you are ready to upgrade just do so .. my 2 cents .. now back to the debate

Go with 225/35 front and 255/35 rear for a decent stretch

See the thing is that OP already has the wheels , so his best bet is to get spacers and no sense going from XXR to Varrstoen they are both reps , so OP should step up to something better once he is ready to do so like * Rays , Volks , Work , VIP Modular , Kranson etc....

Da ****?

Don't ever put Volk and Work in the same sentence as VIP modular and Kranson.

Work and Volk, do not build their wheels in china and mexico.

Yes , but they are considered a higher quality build regardless of where its built ,hence why they go for so much .. you will never see Xxrs go for 2k plus but there are many VIP Modulars wheels hitting that ball park .. I own Volks now but had XXR 521s and they held up great and even had tire blow outs and they never bent or cracked . I switched because mainly of Captain Supreme Sauages hate for rep wheels , his constant get legit wheels and better offsets lol .. hanging out with him makes you want to go broke and use your life savings to buy some 20x12 - 15. / 20x 14 - 20 wheels to fit in ..
