Spring Questions

1. Does anyone know anyone that sells just front or just rear lowering springs opposed to sets of 4?

2. Does anyone know how much a sedan will be dropped relative to a 350z? Say I get springs that lower a 350z by 0.6 inch, how much will that drop my sedan?

Thanks!

Do not do anything unless upgrading the oem shocks are part of the plan.

Chassis changes should be done following known tuning plans, read Carol Smith's book "Tune to win". And before setting out to make those changes you should test the oem setup and establish a oem baseline, in your case course times. Then test the new setup, make setup changes and verify if times improved or worsened. Once you have the spring rates dialed in, test sway bar settings to fine tune and balance to suit your talent level. One thing that people don't accout for is that these cars use rather soft bushings in the suspension that flex and cause geometry change. Killing off those flex points would be a very good idea rather then ending up making a setup that is actually trying to overcome the problem. What comes to mind is sperical bushings on the rear camber arms, radius rod and the front upper A-arm.

To do what you want invest in Koni shocks and send the front's out to Ground-control and have then converted into coilovers, this will allow you to pick whatever 2.5" OD Eibach ERS spring rate you want. For the rears go with Eibach ESS 5" OD springs with a logical rate choice. You will be able to fine tune rear ride height by either cutting or shimming the rear upper spring seats.
