Help: J5/J8 Pro Rim Care

Had a few days of snow here and I didn't change back to my stock 18's. So today when i washed my rims (J5 Silver), I noticed small spots all over the lip. The spots are not very big (about pea size) and have a yellow-rusty colour to em.

Anyone know what's wrong? Salt corrosion? Anything I can do to get rid of em?

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

I had some spot similiar to your description on my PIAA Super Rozzas, but I was able to wipe them off with a wet towel. I assumed that it was front the brakes.

I'm guessing that the salt might be etching into the clear coat portion of the lip. Not sure what you can do except clean, wax, polish?? Just remember that if it warms up, the salt/magnesium (or whatever they use in your area) speeds up the corrosion process. If it's still cold, then you're ok since the process is slowed.

At the first hint of warming up, you should wash it off... Good luck and let us if the spots comes out.

p.s. Even in the summer, I wax the lips of my J5's twice a month. It's the tradeoff for having nice lips...
