My previous Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires wore out in less than 15 months. Please recommend good all-season tires to replace them with. I'm based in Nor Cal where snow is not an issue. Have heard good things about Continental ExtremeContact DWS, Hankook Ventus V12 and Yokohama S. Drive. Any other recommendations?

Also do you guys recommend buying from some online retailer like tirerack and getting them installed locally? Or directly buy and install them from some local shop like America's tire? What would be a cheaper option?

 

The Continental DWS is a great choice for your G37. It's quiet, handles well and has a good tread life. We've also been getting good reviews on the Kumho Ecsta 4X as well. It's a little less expensive and still offers a 40k warranty.

It was cheaper for me to overpay like $20 per tire at my local Town Fair Tire because then they install them for super cheap. Saved like $50 overall, nothing crazy. Plus they will plug your tire for free whenever you run over a nail which I do almost every year haha.

Why not get summer tires? I bought Sumitomo HTRZ, cheapest summer tire available, and they grip excellent and wear very slowly. Those Hancooks are summer tires by the way.

 

The all season options will wear better, ride nicer, and tend to be quieter. The DWS has been a very popular tire for G owners. Worlds better than the RS-A across the board. I would also be on board with the 4X and toss in Yokohama's Envigor.
