235/40-19 tires in front cause vdc issues?

I'm considering going from 225/40-19 tires in the front to 235/40-19 because the 225's look too small and skinny on the Rays wheels. Just want to be sure there won't be any problems with the vdc if I do this. The rear tires will remain 245/35-19.
Thanks

Nope. 4mm diameter change and 2mm road to spindle change. You're fine.

Excellent news, thanks for the response.

Also, just to clarify. Diameter change in front tires will affect the vdc as well? Not just change in rear tires?

Right, far as I know VDC takes into consideration the ratio/difference in the front and rear as part of it's calculations.

Funny that you mention the fronts being too small when your rears are actually the smaller than recommended from the factory. It's supposed to be 245-40-19 on factory rears.

Yeah I screwed that up. They are actually 245/40-19 in the rear.

You could easily run 245/40X19 on all four corners! I did on my last Z and loved the stable control at freeway speeds. With your 8" rims the 245s are perfect....Gary

Yeah, my main concern was the vdc at this point.

The VDC will be fine, just run a square setup.

^No. The 19x8 & 19x8.5 can easily run a 245mm tire.

See in my opinion, running a fatter (in relation to the wheel) tire in front is unnatural.

I'd advocate rears being wider/larger than fronts.

Just seems weird. Of course it may be perfectly fine, I'm just old.

Stay within 3% difference of rolling diameter between front and rear and you won't get any lights on.

I have like a 4% difference and my dash looks like a Christmas tree. VDC, ABS and Slip lights are all on along with my low tire light but I think the tire shop f'd up my TPMS... no it's not my brake fluid. The lights came on almost immediately after putting a bigger rear tire on my car...

I assume you're not on stock rims? What tires are you running front and back? Good info for folks.
