Anyone remember the, "No FAT CHROME WHEEL" motto?
by Ray's Engineering? I know that the Volk Racing rims aren't exactly chrome, but are hella close. what happened to that motto? "No FAT CHROME WHEEL." the new RMC/RBC finishes are nice though!
i'm not knocking Ray's at all. i have Sf-Challenge's myself. on a side note, they should make 20" Sf-Challenges!

They may look like chrome right... but aren't they not as heavy...? I wouldn't know... I just know that chrome wheels are hellah heavy... Might as well roll on bricks...
They should make those SF-Challenge in 20's Especially in Gold... I'll be the first to purchase one...

Its not that chrome wheels are universally heavy, its those 20" cast cheap wheels that weigh 40lbs that are the problem. Depending on manufacturer a modular forged 20" chrome wheel could weigh the same as a stock 18" cast wheel.
Alot of the JDM companies have different finish options (such as "coats" and "paints") that yield even better weight savings than traditional chrome.

^ roger that. i like the fact that Ray's, Hart Wheels, SSR, etc have those finishes available. my next car is probably gonna have either Work's or SSR's.
