How are the Falken Azenis FK453s?

Anyone used these yet? I haven't found that many reviews. The few I did find said they were amazing. Anyone care to chime in on that?

I have never used that particular tire, but I have used Falkens on my car for 16 years. I love the grip, they look good and they last pretty long. But of course like any tire I guess, that depends on how religious you are with rotations, how you drive, whether you are lowered, and the tread wear rating. But with that all said, I personally would give them a shot

The real question is - Can you get them with white lettering?

I'm really tempted to give them a try. Discount tire said their final price would be $565 installed. That's with $120 off from trading in the all seasons I'm using now that are in almost perfect shape.

They are exactly how they look in any catalogue or listing: Cheap.

They are actually pretty damn good for the price, but the treads are only good for a few hundred miles. After that these tires get loud, uncomfortable, and they don't stick too well.

But for the price, they are great for a day at the track.

I'd heard the tread wears pretty well, but I've never bought Falkens before

Because white letters are awesome, at times. Anything with Comp T/A is excluded from that statement tho.

I have the 452's on my Rays, that being said they're extremely loud but other than that they're quite good. Wanted to try the 453's on my 20's but they don't make the sizes I need. Gl and keep us posted if you get them.

White letters = gross IMO. LOL You guys are nuts.

I agree, when the treads on Falkens wear down they can be pretty loud. But they are great quality tires and hold up pretty well. I had a set I wore down til they looked like racing slicks but there was no metal showing from inside the tire. That says a lot to me about build quality because I have seen tons of tread left and metal showing, bubbling and various other defects. I have never had a problem with Falkens

They really wear out after a few hundred miles? Isn't that like the break in period? These 2 links had some good info

You can drive on these tires for a pretty long time, you just won't have that crazy stickiness of a good performance tire after a few hundred miles or so (maybe it was a thousand miles or so, who cares - the fun doesn't last)

I would wait for more reviews to come out. buying tires is a pretty big commitment, and the 452's were far from impressive for me.

i'm sticking with my nittos.
