wheel cleaning help...

Hey guys just wondering what you guys use to clean your wheels.. I normally use Sonax

but after taking my G35 out one of my wheel appeared to be more "chrome" or "gunmetal" look over the others sprayed some SONAX on it and no go still gunmetal looking.

These are the OEM 19's.

Oddly enough I have used oven cleaner to get the brake dust off, soap and water after that. Works wonders, doesn't hurt the clear coat on the wheels and gets that brake dust off real well. Plus its a much cheaper alternative to the cleaners for wheels out there that only serve ONE purpose

whatever you use, make sure it isn't abrasive. your BEST bet is to clean them weekly (or so) with warm soap and water.

I like the mantra, treat them the same way you would treat your paint.

I usually wash my car, then use the same soapy water on wheels... just me.

i have used the sonax wheel cleaner and it made my wheel look hazy. so now i only use soap and water. takes a little more to get the brake dust off but beats hazing ur wheels.
