all season tire

After using various summer tires from OEM Bridgestone, Toyo, Michelin, ... I got tired of having to look up tire comparisons so often. These are fun to drive hard with, let driver explore the limit of the car. However, these summer tires wear out too quickly on my G35 and are often noisy. In my opinion, If driver are not racing around town like maniac, these "performance tires" are overkill. The G35 is only has ~300hp, and the chassi is not very stiff.

I have driven my G 110k+ miles, and driven it hard pretty often. I switched to more comfortable Falken 452, then to Continental DWS.

Continental DWS is my favorite. It is quiet, decent dry grip, and is wonderful in rainy cold winter in bay area. It let me enjoy some sportiness, as well as a comfortable ride. DWS side wall is pretty soft compare to summer tire. But it is serving me well so far.

Has other G driver give up on summer tire, to try out all season tire? If so, which A.S. tire do you like most?

The Kuhmo Ecsta 4X is one of the best values out there in the Ultra HP All Season space.

I also ran the previous version of the Turanza Serenity prior (UTQG of 440). It was an excellent tire, but the the prices shot up on the Turanzas (they became popular quickly) the last time I was shopping, so I went with the Kuhmos which are just as good (UTQG of 420)

The DWS is probably the most popular sport all season tire used on these cars. Good combination of wet and snow traction makes them a crowd favorite. Kumho's 4X is also a contender, but expect a tad less tread life compared to the DWS.

Opinions about tires are almost as vast as "What oil to use?" Here on the left coast where snow is an uncommon event I'll stick with my Michelin Pilot Super Sports. With a UTQG of 300 they'll wear better than my previous PS2s and the grip is very good....Gary
