Nokian WR2/WR3

I am looking to change the OEM Goodyear tires that lasted 40,000km. A local dealer recommend Nokian WR3, current year model replacing the WR2. Does anyone have experience with the WR2 on the G? I read many positive snow reviews on the web for the WR2. However, how is the tire in dry weather? How is the ride and handling? How many miles have they lasted? I worry they will wear quicker than the OEM Goodyears.

I am from Vancouver where there is very little snow but like to take the car up to the mountains. Instead of having a set of dedicated snows and all seasons, I thought this might be a good solution.

Thanks
