35 front 40 rear
I use 245/35 front and 245/40 rear. Fits well and works for me.
245/35 up front is very close to the OEM 225/40 rolling diameter.
I tried 245/40 up front and it rubs on the fender liner on hard corners since I'm lowered.

It gives it a more "even" look. I never really liked the staggered look on a G on OEM rims.
I will say that I didn't notice any difference in ride quality. The side wall is just as "thick", only slightly smaller. Ride quality shouldn't change much if you are comparing two of the same tires.
I also noticed more front end grip and less understeer at the track with a slightly wider front.
