Tire Opinions - Hankook Ventus V12
Hi everyone!
I'm ordering tires and need to know what you guys think about the Hankook Ventus V12s.
I see they have a lot of good reviews but I want to know what the community thinks of them and if they are worth putting on my 2004 G35 Obsidian Black coupe that is running on the stock 18s. I'm looking at running 255 fronts and 285 rear.

Forget anything Hankook, go with Michelin Pilot Super Sports! UTQG 300 which will give you 30K miles of wear and they'll never let you down! Check with www.thetirerack.com for best price (wholesale) and quick delivery...Gary

+1 Michelin for Michelin Pilot Super Sports if you're willing to pay for it. I used them on the Nurburgring and the grip is phenomenal for a street tire. There's a reason why it's the standard street tire for the Nurburgring.
To be honest, if you live in wet weather and never track or canyon carve, you'll probably never get you're money's worth out of the Michelin PSS as they will never reach optimum grip temperature in normal street driving. Just last week, I drove my friends RSX Type-S on the Nurburgring for a few laps in pouring rain with the Michelin A/S 3's and definitely a believer. I can honestly say that it grips better in the wet than a lot of cheape tires in the dry. Sensational.
Me driving the RSX in the rain on the 'ring.
