BF-GOODRICH G-Force Sport COMP-2
Hy
has anyone tried these tires,BF-GOODRICH G-Force Sport COMP-2 235745/18 or 245/40/18? I am really interested about the noise level at highway speeds?
Some say acceleration, braking, dry and wet pavement is way up?

I used them on my CTS-V and they were really good. I switched to the KDWs though because they worked in the rain too.
They're not a quiet tire, at least on my G. I notice them being the loudest cruising (foot off accelerator) around 35-40 mph. The noise reminds me of being in a truck with an aggressive tread. I believe I am running 235/45/18 on all 4.
I do like them a lot despite the noise, however. Plenty of grip, even when wet. I haven't gotten on them too hard, but have taken them to where I feel comfortable on curvy roads and they gripped the whole way, never made me feel uneasy.
If your freeway system has concrete with grooves in the direction of the road like we do here in Boise (for a couple of miles), these tires will try to grab those grooves and pull you from one side to the other. I have gotten used to it, but the first few times I thought something was really wrong. I think it's a directional tire/road issue.
They're worthless if there is more than a couple of inches of snow or ice, but obviously not made for it.
I've had them on since March 2014 and just swapped them out for my Blizzaks (snow champs!).

As a dedicated summer tire they do exceptionally well. For some reason people overlook them a lot but those who do get a set are very happy. They easily beat out long time top contenders like B-Stone 760's, Yoko S-Drives and similar. Definitely has my vote.
