Ya it's still around freezing here in the morning so I'm sure the tires are pretty hard.

I wonder what's up with the 35-40 mph resonance deal. I never noticed it when I had the stock pilots on?

wow you got yours with 9k on them? My 285/30/20 rears only lasted 9k. They were really noisy once it got down to the 2nd layer. It's only really noisy when stopping or excellerationg from a stop. If you just drive really fast it's quiet.

All performance tires gets loud as they wear. Most performance tires max life is around 15,000 - 17,500 miles, and may be shorter if you have camber issue.

My S0-3's were OK until I tracked my G three diff times, now they roar like a lion. Probably the abusive & Extreme Heat cycles & uneven wear track events put on a tire...
Are the out side edges of your S0-3's scuffed, if so maybe they were used as a track tire.

The edges don't look scuffed but the rears were worn a bit more than the fronts. Figured I could drive them for this year and then get some Toyo's next spring.

For $600 a pair, I'm going to just have to get used to it.

Maybe something not quite as high performance will still be sticky enough and a little easier to live with. They sure handle nice though!

Yep, I couldn't wait to get rid of those S0-3's. 9k sounds about right, you'll be lucky to get 15k out of those tires, especially if you've lowered your car. They are terribly noisy! My toyo t1-s' are much more quiet, although they don't handle as well, I was willing to compromise.

Yeh, it's normal to get road noise from the SO3s. As for the gas mileage issue, yep, that's normal too. More rotational mass and weight will do it........just think of yourself running in clown shoes compared to sneakers..........takes a lot more effort

Are SO3s a bad tire to get then? I was debating on either SO3's or the new Pilot Sport 2 to replace the sh*tty Potenza RE040 that came with my Z.

If you're a stereophile type guy, don't get the S03's. these are for people looking
for performance with compromise to noise.

S03's are a bit cheaper, which the PS2's are bank and are awesome tires. Both are great tires w/ the PS2's a bit better.

I have the Yokohama AVS ES 100s and I don't think they are that bad. They are a little louder than stock, but not deafening.
