anyone with experience on falken 451 285/30/20?
My rear Bridgestone S03's are toast 285/30/20 after about 8 or 9k miles. I didn't even think twice about the price of tires when I was having fun sliding around.
Until I get my suspension in I'm just going to buy 2 rear tires. With the price of Michelin PS2's I could buy my dream set of 18's w/ tires so I'm just going with something comparable to S03's but not as expensive.
SO anyone know how Falken 451's compare to Bridgeston S03's in handling, millage and road noise?

the GR Betas are great.
IMO, handles better than the factory pilots.
it's kind of hard to not notice grip between the S03 and the GR-B, I dont have any means of gauging the lateral G forces.
for the price, you can't beat it.
I went 255/45/18 on the stock rears and 235/40/18 on the front. that combination on the stock suspension induces a lot of overstear, good for the type of driving (drifting) i do.
I've heard good things about Federal tires too, I just havent checked on their specs and sizes yet.

thanks for responding 636. I just got the 2 rear falken 451's in 2 days ago. Their sitting in my garage until i get the flex and camber kit put on . Then allignment and tires will all be done at one time. I can't wait.
Discount tire did mention the 451's were great for drifting and would hold up longer then the s03's. Unfortunately they didn't have any instock so I had to get them else where. Can't beat $471 shipped! Over pilot sp2's for close to $800 just for 2 tires.
So far what I can tell with them unmounted is the tires are a little lighter, even though they are both the same measurment, the 451's taper in more with a narrower tread pattern. The side wall isn't as soft as people say, maybe because it's really low profile.

ovayahead, I am currently running those tires on my ride. I have the same setup that you have and I love it. Tires are great. Stick well and good even in water. MUCH better than the Michelin pilot sports, S03s are great tires but I hear they have horrible tread life. Youll really like the tires but in the future, if you ever need more I got deep hooks with fusion tires. Thats what im gonna be going with next. Take care and I hope this helps. Oh and I wish I could tell you about tread but I dont really push it on my 20s.
