G35 OEM 17in Wheels on G37/Q40?

Can I use my 2003 G35 OEM 17in 6 spoke wheels on a G37/Q40?

I've done a lot of searching and haven't found an answer. Lots of folks going the other direction, but none I can find old to new. Here's what I've found on various sources:

G35: 215/55-17 , 17x7.0, 45mm offset.
G37/Q40: 225/55-17, 17x17.5, 45mm offset.

Seems like it should work? I'm OK with the small speedometer difference, I just want them to work as winter wheels.

Here's the scenario if anyone is interested why: I currently have a 2003 G35 I bought new. I have an extra set of OEM winter rims mounted to 215/55/-17 X-ice3's that I've only used for one winter (my second set, they are fantastic). I'm thinking of buying a G37 or Q40 and would like to use my winter wheels and tires. Any problems?

It might seem ridiculous, but I love the idea of paying homage to my original G35 by reusing the wheels. If I get a Q40 and also keep it for 15 years, maybe I'll be driving it with 30-year-old wheels. It says a lot about these vehicles that 'll be happy as a clam driving them for 30 years!

Your swap will work just fine, the G35 wheels will be sunken a bit more on the later model cars but since they're your winter wheels who cares. Only you can decide what feels right for you.

Thanks, and thanks for the forum where I've been lurking for a long time now. These are great vehicles.

Doing some quick research (meaning it might be incorrect), the base model G37 has 330mm front rotors which SHOULD clear the base sliding calipers, but there's no way they'll clear sport / Akebono brakes. Q40 uses slightly smaller 320mm rotors so they should clear that just fine.
