Sorry, dont like the rim at all. It has too many lines and they are oval shaped which is not to my likings. On another subject, the BMW on that picture is VERY nasty. What a waste of money.

GUniit are you a distributer for DPE? I have a pair of R20's and i was thinking of having them powder coated to a different finish? I emailed Jojo but i havnt received a reply yet. If so can you let me know how much it would cost to get that asphalt or graphite finish that would be great.

thanks

Keep in mind that the stepped lip makes the rim look smaller, since they use a smaller wheel face. if they rotate the barrel around and use the non-stepped side, they have to use a bigger wheel face to fill the barrel...

...some food for thought.

a 19" looks like a 20" and a 20" looks like a 21" etc...

you have it the other way around, the 20" looks like 19" and the 19" looks like 18", the actual center of the rim is one inch smaller then the whole rim..

no...because if you are welding a wheel face into a barrel, where it steps in (makes the inner diameter smaller) you obviously need to use a smaller wheel face than if you were to weld it into the non stepped portion of the wheel (larger inner diameter).

for instance...i have 20" iforged wheels with a non-stepped design. i can look on the backside of my wheel and see that there is a step, where you could presumably weld in a wheel face if you wanted. since it steps in, you would need to use a smaller wheel face to do it. it is a no brainer.

wait...you might be saying that they are stepping out...i am assuming that they are stepping in. we may be arguing the same point.

p.s.--regardless of what you do, the rims on the M3 are awesome.

I can surely find out for you bro, but your better bet would be to sell them and get new wheels, because they're gona have to cut the inner part out again to re finish the wheel. might be cheaper to sell and buy new ones, you may only end up spending $500, otherwise in the re finish you might be spending $175ish per wheel.

If your DPE is 2-piece, the centers are welded. If 3-piece, then you can remove the centers and have them powder coated what ever color you want. There is a shop in San Diego that will do it for around $400.

Did'nt know that. Strange why their site states: size availability in ( 2pc or 3pc ). Well, I guess the centers are welded since there only 2piece. To costly to remove and have them powder coated.
